Description of the plant: An annual herb. Stem erect or ascending, glabrous, minutely glandular, 30-60 cm tall. Leaves subsessile, linear-lanceolate, base attenuate, apex acuminate, margin ciliate. Flowers white, small, in rather lax, very slender or filiform racemes which are erect, flexuous, or decurved.
Plant parts used: Whole plant (without root).
Medicinal uses: Decoction of the plants is taken for the treatment of liver cancer.
Juice extracted from the plant is applied on the affected area for the treatment of body pain, swelling and fractures.
The crushed plant is applied to stop hemorrhage
Distribution: Throughout the country in wet places.
